“TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN BUSINESS, YOU HAVE TO BE A CON-MAN”

I was having a light conversation with an acquaintance on business in general when he said all businessmen (including the opposite sex) have to behave like a con-man in order to be successful. 

He pointed out that there were too many instances to support his claim. 

I just kept quiet when he said this because although I personally disagreed with him, I just could not find any good ‘evidence’ to support my conviction. 

To me, business is just like politics. On whether it is going to be white, black, yellow, green, blue or red, it all depend on those in business. 

For example, it is an acceptable notion that an honest man or woman could not have a bright future in politics. 

This is because back-stabbing is something very common in politics. 

Therefore, if you are an honest man or woman, how are you going to do that without your enemies knowing that you are the one who did it? 

However, although it seems to be impossible, politics is sure to be free of back-stabbing, etc. if all politicians agreed not to engage in any dirty activities. 

Impossible huh ???
