I was on the porch of my Chinese friend’s house when suddenly an old man barged into the house’s compound using a motorcycle.
“Who is he?” I asked my friend.
“O... he is an old friend. He should have contacted me and not just barged in,” my friend replied.
Then, my Chinese friend talked with his friend. Apparently telling him that he already had an appointment with me to have a drink outside in a restaurant.
After that he left.
While driving, I asked my chinese friend : “What is he doing for a living?”
“He was a pork seller. But now he has retired and doing nothing,” said my Chinese friend who is a former senior civil servant.
“What had happened to his business?” I asked again.
“He had an attitude problem. He just could not take it when customers gave comments on his pork. Even if it was just a comment with no negative connotation. So, not many customers bought porks from him.
“If I were him, I would have told myself that ‘I-don’t-care-what-customers-think-about-my-product-(or service)-as-long-as-they-give-me-their- monies’,” said my friend.
